History

Medicomp Sp. z o.o. was formed in 1988. Their founders, who still hold the ownership of the company, gathered a team of qualified and experienced specialists. Their knowledge and experience were soon to bring profit, as from the very start the company displayed a dynamic growth. This trait went head to head with changes in political system and explosion of telecom and IT technologies.

For the first few years the company was a distributor of phone and datacom hardware and signed numerous partnership deals with many world-known companies such as Panasonic, Samsung, Lenia and Pouyet.

Based on the strength of those brands, Medicomp very soon gained a solid market footing in Poland. As a result of seeking the best possible partnerships and growth of product range, a strong bond was formed with Matra Communications (currently trading as Aastra). The company is still an authorised Aastra partner in Poland. This long-term relationship brought in not only solid financial profits for the company on Polish market, but more importantly, generated business benefits for both sides and strong bonds with company clients.

This type of business activity soon brought in solid profits. The strength and market position of the company grew alongside its Clients and Partners and some of the largest companies in Poland such as PKO BP S.A. and Powszechny Bank Kredytowy S.A. were amongst its clients as early as late 1980s.

Constantly shifting datacom industry was mirrored by the company internal structure and the range of products it could provide and it was expanded to include integration services. The company entered into partnership with Cisco Systems, and began implementing early examples of "voice and data" datacom systems.

Towards the end of 1990s, the company grew significantly into the market of system and application integration solutions. The company was no longer just a distributor, it became an integrator. At the same time the company also intensified its work in the field of data and know-how design and implementation systems. The range now included enterprise management systems, e-document and process workflow systems, e-learning applications and in-house telephony solutions, including call center, contact center and voice e-mail applications.

To mark a new stage in company development, in replation to the expanding range and entering new markets, a decision to change the name was made in 1999. Thus a powerful integrator, MCX Sp. z o.o. was formed.

New company expanded its horizons, from having identified with one market only; now it boldly and effectively developed new competences and solutions.

The following years were focused on work on its own range and new deals. MCX entered into partnerships with Paradyne Corporation and Oracle. It was also recognized as a silver Cirix partner, became an official, authorised partner of TANDBERG of Norway, a world-leader in videoconferencing systems and it also gained recognition as a certified partner for Enterasys Networks in Poland.

To react to new challenges and constantly shifting situation in our sector, in March 2003, the Board took a decision to form a strong MCX Group. It was the beginning of strict specialization of daughter companies forming the group. At present, the group consists of: MCX Systems (which took over all responsibilities of MCX operations), MCX Telecom and MCX Serwis.

MCX Systems introduced in its range terminal-card systems and mobile computing, data transmission, RFID and GPS solutions. Partnerships were formed with world-class hardware suppliers, such as: Ingenico, VeriFone and Juniper Systems. A programming centre was created, in order to develop specialist applications dedicated for numerous sectors, such as Retail, services, banking, industry, administration, transport and logistics. MCX Systems is: ISO 9001:2000 and AQAP 2110:2006-certified in design, sales and servicing of uniform network and datacom solutions as well as IT applications.

MCX Telecom was formed in December 2008. MCX Telecom is focused on hardware telecom solutions and, to continue over 20 years of tradition of its parent company, provides access to the latest telecom technologies and full technical support for advanced solutions, on all project stages, from datacom applications design, hardware supply, to project completion, implementation and support. MCX Telecom is an authorized partner of international companies such as: Aastra, NEC Unified Solutions, Mitel, Polycom, Cisco and LifeSize. In November 2010, MCX Telecom changed its name to MCX Telecom 2. Another transformation came in April 2011, when the company became MCX Telecom Limited Liability Company Limited Joint - Stock Company.

Since October 2003, the company headquarters has been located in its own, purpose-built office structure, at the junction of Rzymowskiego and Gotarda St in Warsaw. It is still today one of the most advanced and intelligent office buildings in Warsaw, fitted with the latest datacom solutions and systems of office automation.
